Hood Ornament, at Turner Carroll’s large [CONTAINER] exhibition space in the Baca Railyard area, features some of the most sought after blue chip and emerging artists of the African diaspora. Works by Kara Walker, Shinique Smith, Bill Traylor, Clarence Heyward, Alexandria Couch, Aristotle Forrester, Conrad Egyir, Felandus Thames, Kevin Cobb, Sunni Mullen, Terrance Mussekiwa, and Jamea Richmond-Edwards form a jaw dropping exhibition, curated by internationally renowned author and curator, Charles Moore.

Dallas Art Fair 2025
April 10-13 in Dallas, Turner Carroll foregrounds outstanding global women artists such as Eri Imamura (Japan), whose manga-esque compositions are rendered entirely in tiny glass and 24 k gold beads, applied to antique kimono silks. Jeanette Pasin Sloan is a mature artist whose works are collected by The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The National Gallery, and numerous other hallowed institutions. Turner Carroll “discovered” Sharon Brush’s elegant sculptures and is the first gallery to offer her works to an international audience of collectors. We’ll also feature works by artists already well known to collectors, such as Mokha Laget, Angela Ellsworth, Nadya Tolokonnikova, Swoon, Hung Liu, Clarence Heyward, Ed Ruscha, Greg Murr, Hunt Slonem, and Florence Miller Pierce, whose work will be featured in curator Cecilia Alemani’s upcoming Site Santa Fe International.

Homecoming presents Swoon’s impactful work to Bangkok audiences for the first time. The exhibition showcases an artist whose evolving practice reflects the complexities of the human experience and her journey toward healing.
